POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
• High school diploma. Passing score on the proficiency test or possess an Associate of Arts (AA) Degree or higher or have completed 48 college units. Additional training in child development, special education, disabling conditions, or Autism Spectrum Disorder is desirable.
Experience:
o Previous experience working with middle school/high school aged students. Experience working with students with ASD preferred. Inclusion experience preferred.
Knowledge of:
• Autism Spectrum Disorders & other Qualifying Disabilities
• Positive Behavior Support Strategies
• CPR & First Aid
Ability to:
o Operate necessary program equipment including technology
o Maintain records.
o Work independently.
o Work effectively with disabled students.
